http://bit.ly/QAISDC_EN Design thinking can be used to help students understand and process information from any topic or subject. Design thinking fosters brainstorming and collaboration skills that are valuable in a changing world where many challenges do not have textbook answers. Students can answer complex questions with creativity by designing an object, stories, or resolutions. By teaching design thinking, students learn a method they can use independently to solve problems creatively. For example students might be asked to design a house or a novel candy box. In social studies, students can instructed to design a process for making community, classroom or school decisions more fair. In this workshop, teachers will be introduced to using the design cycle and how to integrate the design process into any lesson and participate in a hands on design challenge.
